Due to unforeseen circumstances, this dialogue has been postponed. Please join us for our next dialogue in the series on May 25th at 6PM with Dee Dwyer and Keyonna Jones.
Photojournalist Terrence Jennings will expand on his photographs of New Yorkers taken during the spring and summer months of 2020 as they gathered in solidarity to disavow hatred, oppression, and violence. Through his aptly titled collection, I saw honor and dignity, too!, Jennings shares why, in protests against the devaluation of Black lives, he is committed to seeking out dual concepts of honor and dignity. Jennings will be in conversation with celebrated photographer Jamel Shabazz, known for his iconic portrayals of Black life throughout New York City and beyond. The conversation will be hosted by Grace Aneiza Ali, curator of On Protest and Mourning.
