  • Youtube and Facebook Channels (map)

Hey Community! Due to popular demand we are so excited to bring you the next Curators in Conversation. This series is dedicated to critical debate, dialogue, and engagement with curators of color committed to the artistic and cultural production of the Afro-Caribbean and its Diaspora.

On September 23rd, Natalie Willis, British-Bahamian curator working as an Assistant Curator at the National Art Gallery of The Bahamas will be in conversation with Jessica Womack, PhD candidate in the Dept. of Art and Archeology at Princeton University with a focus on art from the Caribbean, Latin America, and the United States. Willis and Womack will discuss shared concerns and intersecting ideas in their curatorial practice, some of which include Black Caribbean femininity, visual cultures of African Diasporic religions, and the construction of more inclusive public programs to engage audiences. The conversation will be moderated by Grace Aneiza Ali, CCCADI Curator-at-Large and Assistant Professor, Art & Public Policy, NYU.
