CURATORS IN CONVERSATION W/GRACE ANEIZA ALI and ALBERTA WHITTLE
Join us on Wednesday, November 18 at 6PM for CCCADI’s next Curators In Conversation. For this month’s discussion, Bajan artist and curator, Alberta Whittle, will be in conversation with Grace Aneiza Ali, Guyanese curator, Assistant Professor of Art & Public Policy at NYU, and CCCADI’s very own Curator-at-Large. They will discuss Ali’s newly edited publication, Liminal Spaces: Migration and Women of the Guyanese Diaspora—an intimate exploration into the art and migration narratives of fifteen women of Guyanese heritage, which was inspired by the Liminal Space exhibition at CCCADI in 2017. Whittle and Ali will also dialogue about their shared priorities and agendas in their art and curatorial practices to center Caribbean Art and the work of Caribbean women artists.
